What is soul food?  Here is the definition from Dictionary.com.

soul food

noun

traditional black American cookery, which originated in the rural South, consisting of such foods as chitterlings, pig knuckles, turnip greens, and cornbread.
But it is so much more than that. Soul food is food that comforts your soul, that makes you feel good, that reminds you of a connection to home.
