I just received an early Christmas present from one of my sisters. She is always going to craft fairs, and finds one of a kind artisan gifts. One year I received a hand carved wooden salt and pepper grinder set that is so beautiful I refuse to use it! I just keep it on display in the kitchen. Another year she found a pair of sterling silver earrings that were shaped like peas in a pod. Obviously she follows a food theme with me.
This year I got a ring. A cupcake ring. And it is so freaking cute it makes me smile every time I look at it. My 2 year old saw it and wanted to wear it, and I would not give it up. Which of course started a toddler tantrum, but that ring did not come off my finger! Yes, some mommies would have let the kid have it, but I’m not them.

The artist who made this ring has quite a background in both the food and art worlds. Her name is Carolyn Tillie, and she is an accomplished food writer, chef, consultant and artisan. Which means she can make food either edible or wearable. Technically I can make food either edible or wearable too, but the wearable part only come in when I miss my mouth…
She has a website that has links to her blog called Feast, as well as her bio and contact information.
If you like this cupcake ring, you can see more of her creative food jewelry at Artful Home
