French breakfast radishes are such gorgeous vegetables! Too bad I don’t like to eat them. But my mother loves radishes, so I bought some from the Urban Homestead, which had been picked just that morning before I picked them up! You really can’t get fresher than that, unless you are fortunate to have your own garden. I have two Topsy Turvy tomato planters, and that is the extent of my garden unfortunately.
I didn’t develop a recipe with these radishes. All I did was take pictures, because they were so pretty. If I liked radishes I would eat them with sweet butter, salt and pepper. Perfectly simple, perfectly delicious.
Since all I did was give the radishes the paparazzi treatment, I will refer you to the Epicurious website for a recipe for Bagna Cauda, a traditional Italian hot dip for raw vegetables. Any raw vegetables will do, and it’s a great appetizer for a party as everyone gathers around the pot to dip and eat.
